The best off Mongolia summarized in a 12 days trip!!! Witness the spectacle of Naadam games during the eagerly awaited Mongolian National Day. The Mongolia Heroes pit each other in 3 main sports: Archery, Horse riding and Mongolian wrestling. Before or after this cultural event, you will leave discovering the Mongolian natural wonders: horse riding in Terelj, discovering the Przewalski wild horses, climbing sand dunes in Khogno Khan Mountains, visiting the former Mongolian capital, Karakorum and the Erdene Zuu monastery, experiencing Nomadic way of life in Orkhon waterfalls, relaxing and SPA in Tsenkher hot sprigs and fishing in Ogii Lake.

Program

Day 1. Welcome at your arrival at the Ulaanbaatar airport. Transfer to your hotel (Standard category). City tour. Visit of Gandantegchilen monastery and introduction to Buddhism in the Buddhist center of Mongolia. Lunch in a restaurant of the city. Visit of the Natural history museum. Briefing on the trip. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2. 9h00 - departure from Ulaanbaatar to Terelj National Park. You will admire eroded rock formations, Mountains pines-covered, plains carpeted with wild flowers and edelweiss, rivers ... Visit of the Turtle Rock, and then we will head to our Nomad family where we will take our lunch. Strolling in the park on horseback. Dinner and night in Nomad family. 75 Km - 1h30

Day 3. Drive to Khustain National Park where you will spot in their wild environment the Przewalski horses. Dinner and night in gers camp. 195 Km. 4h00

Day 4. Drive to Khogno Khaan Mountains where mountains migle with sand dunes. Visit of Ovgon Monastery. Camel back riding. Dinner and night in gers camp. 195 Km - 4h00

Day 5. Drive to the former capitale of Mongolia, Karakorum (kharkhorin). The fabled city of Chinggis Khaan was built in 1220 in the Orkhon Valley on the Silk Road. From this city the Mongolian Empire has been ruled until Kublai Khan move this capitale to Beijing. Lunch in local restaurant. Visit of the Erdene Zuu Monastery. Started to be built in 1586 but finished only 300 years later, the monastery has been the first Buddhism center in Mongolia. Dinner and night in gers camp. 100 Km - 2h00

Day 6. Drive to the Orkhon waterfalls located in the sumptuous Orkhon Valley. Stroll in the valley carpetted by Edelweiss. Visit of Tovkhon Monastery. Overnight in Nomad family. 100 Km - 3h00

Day 7.  Drive to Tsenkher hot springs for a very relaxing day. Enjoy a SPA in the spring water famous for its healing power and then experience the Mongolian massage. Dinner and night in gers camp. 120 Km - 3h00

Day 8. Today we will drive to Ogii Lake where you will have the opportunity to fish.  Dinner and night in gers camp. 180 Km - 5h00

Day 9.  Drive back to Ulaanbaatar. Free dinner and night in Hotel. 370 Km - 6 hours

Day 10. We are at the Naadam Festival opening ceremony. Traditional show. Lunch in the boots surrounding the stadium. Drive to Khuin Doloon Khudag to see the horses' race. Drive back to Ulaanbaatar. Free Dinner and overnight in hotel.   

Day 11. Back to the stadium where you will see the events of Mongolian Wresling, Archery and also anklebones shooting!!! Free Dinner and overnight in hotel.   

Day 12. Breakfast. Transfer to the airport. Departure.

Please note: for the programme starting the 10^th of July, we will begin by the Naadam festival event, the leave to countryside on 13^th of July according to the above itinerary.
