Day 1: Departure early morning to Kharkhorin. The fabled city of Chinggis Khaan was built in 1220 in the Orkhon Valley on the Silk Road. From this city the Mongolian Empire has been ruled until Kublai Khan move this capitale to Beijing. Lunch in local restaurant. Visit of the Erdene Zuu Monastery. Started to be built in 1586 but finished only 300 years later, the monastery has been the first Buddhism center in Mongolia. Dinner and night under the tent on the bank of the Orkhon River. 380 Km
Day 2: Drive to the Orkhon waterfalls located in the sumptuous Orkhon Valley. Stroll in the valley carpetted by Edelweiss. Visit of Tovkhon Khiid Monastery. Diner and night in nomad family. 100 Km
Day 3: Departure to Tsetserleg, Arkhangai capitale. Lovely town, Tsetserleg is surrounded by mountains. Visit of Arkhangai Museum, located in Zayain Gegeenii Monastery. Lunch in restaurant. In the afternoon, soft hiking in the surrounding hills. 75 Km
Day 4: Drive to the Terkhiin Tsagaan Lake which is located at an altitude of 2060 meters. This lake is called the "great white lake". This lake as well as the volcanic areas which surround it is the highlight spot of the Arkhangai province. Still a wild area, this place is ideal to camp and, if you fancy it, to fish. Diner and night under the tent. 180 Km
Day 5: Trekking to Horgo Volcano. 12 km. This extinct volcano at the est of the Lake is covered by Basalt. Picnic on the way. Diner and night under the tent.
Day 6: Depart to Ogii Lake. Picnic. Soft hiking on the bank of the Lake. Diner and night under the tent. 240 Km
Day 7: Drive back to Ulaanbaatar. 380 Km
