Day 1. Welcome at your arrival at the Ulaanbaatar airport. Transfer to your hotel (Standard category). City tour. Visit of Gandantegchilen monastery and introduction to Buddhism in the Buddhist center of Mongolia. Lunch in a restaurant of the city. Visit of the Natural history museum. Briefing on the trip. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2. 9h00 - departure from Ulaanbaatar to the Baga Gazriin Chuluu Mountains, where, in the middle of dusty plains, you can observe impressive granite rock formations eroded by the elements as they are very violent in this area. During the 19th century, 2 monks were living there under a ger, and you will see the remaining of their inscription carved in the rocks. According to a legend, Chinggis khaan stayed in this area. Day 3. Visit of the rocky formation of Tsagaan Suvragaa. These 30 meters-high white and red mountains are located 20 Km from Ulaan Suvragaa. Through this end of the world landscape, many fossils have been found as the see recovered all this area several millions of year ago. Dinner and night under the tent. 260 Km. 7 hours.
Day 4. Drive to Yolii Am canyon (Eagles canyon). This place is famous for its huge rocky Mountains and its canyon. Part of the gorge is frozen for most of the year. If you're lucky enough you may spot some wild animals such as Ibex, argali sheep. Dinner and night under the tent. 210 Km. 5 Hours
Day 5. After a 3 hours trek in the Gorge, we will to Khongor sand dunes. These sand dues are the largest and most impressive of Mongolia. They spread over a 100 Km long and 12 Km wide area, and can reach 800 meters-high. The highest dunes are located in the north west of the Khongor range. From their top, the sight on the desert is stunning. Dinner and night in gers camp. 200 Km. 5 hours
Day 6. Roaming the desert on camel back is a highlight of any trip in the Gobi. After the breakfast, you will have the unique chance to go on camel back trekking throughout the dunes. Dinner and night in gers camp. 15 Km
Day 7. Drive to Bayanzag. The name means "Rich in saxual shrubs" and is more commonly known as the "Flamming cliffs", penned by the palaeontologist Roy Chapman Andrews who first excavated fossils in 1922 and it's renowned worldwide for the number of dinosaur bones and eggs found in the area, which you can see in the Natural History Museum in Ulaanbaatar or in several other museums around the world. Dinner and night under the tent. 250 Km. 6 hours.
Day 8. Drive throughout the luxuriant steppe and arrival at Saikhan Ovoo. The average altitude Mountains located along the Ongiin Rivers, on the west of Saikhan Ovoo are the perfect place to rest between the Gobi Desert and the center of Mongolia. The river bend marks the remains of 2 ruined monasteries, the Barlim monastery on the northern bank and the Khutagt monastery on the south. Together the complex is known as the Ongi monastery. Day 9. Today we will drive to the Naiman Nuur National Park (the 8 Lakes). This Park is located in a montainous area with an average altitude of 2,500 / 3,000 meters. A very remoted area with stuning lakes and landscapes. Visit of Khuis Lake. Dinner and night in Nomad family. 260 Km - 6h30
Day 10. This day we will rest in our guest family. Trekking on the surroundings and, in option, horse riding trek. Dinner and night in Nomad family.
Day 11. Driving to the Orkhon waterfalls located in the sumptuous Orkhon Valley. Stroll in the valley carpetted by Edelweiss. Visit of the Tovkon monastery built in honour of Zanabazar and from which you will have a great sight on the Valley. Dinner and night in Nomad family. 180 Km
Day 12. Drive to the former capitale of Mongolia, Karakorum (kharkhorin). The fabled city of Chinggis Khaan was built in 1220 in the Orkhon Valley on the Silk Road. From this city the Mongolian Empire has been ruled untilq Kublai Khan move this capitale to Beijing. Lunch in local restaurant. Visit of the Erdene Zuu Monastery. Started to be built in 1586 but finished only 300 years later, the monastery has been the first Buddhism center in Mongolia. Dinner and night in gers camp. 94 Km. 3h00
Day 13. Drive to Khustain National Park where you will have the unique opportunity to spot the Przewalski horses in their wild environment. Dinner and night under the tent. 280 Km.
Day 14. Drive back to Ulaanbaatar. Transfer to your hotel. Lunch. Visit of the Bogd Khaan's summer palace. Shopping. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 15. Berakfast. Transfer to the airport. Departure.
