Drive to Mongolia's ancient capital, Karakorum, Genghis Khan's fabled city, was founded in 1220, in the Orkhon Valley, at the crossroads of the Silk Route. It was from there that the Mongolia Empire was governed, until Kublai khan moved it to Beijing. There you'll visit Erdene Zuu monastery, the symbolic ruins of Karakorum. There you can do hikings, fishing, trekking and horseback riding. Overnight in Ger camp at the bank of Orkhon River... Possibility to extend the trip to the Orkhon Valley and sleep in Nomad family.

Manzushir Monastery is located in the luxuriant valley of Bogd Khaan Mountains Natinoal Park. It was established in 1733 and had 70 temples and approximately 1,000 monks. It was destroyed by the Communists in 1932. The only remaining temple has been restored and a musuem opened. It is one-hour drive to get Manzushir monastery from Ulaanbaatar. You'll have possibily to do hiking in beautiful mountains covered with forests. In the evening drive back to Ulaanbaatar or sleep under the tent or in Nomad family.

Drive to Terelj National park, borders the Khan Khentii Strictly Protected area, and it is one of the most visited protected areas. Terelj is one of the most beautiful places to visit with high-eroded rock formations, pine covered mountains and grassland carpeted with perennial wildflowers and edelweiss. You'll be able to do hikings and horseback ridings. In the evening you will drive back to Ulaanbaatar or stay in Nomad family.
