At the beginning... the dinosaurs Print E-mail

The Mongolian Gobi and the California Valley in the United States are both rich in dinosaur bones and skeletons. Millions and millions of years ago, the present territory of Mongolia used to be a warm, wet and dense with forests and jungles. Occupying our world for hundred and sixty million years, dinosaurs died out sixty five million years ago while their numbers were still increasing worldwide. Scholars, who can not explain a reason why dinosaurs died out, still make various conjectures.

But mankind knew that such huge animals used to live in our land and have for the last 150 years been discovering these remains. Now, there are hundreds species of dinosaurs catalogued throughout the world. An American research and expdition team headed by R. Andrews found the most famous cache of dinosaurs remains in Mongolia in 1920's. Now this finding is kept in The Museum of Nature in New-York.

As well, there are many dinosaur artifacts, found from Mongolian territory, in museums uch as St. Petersbourg and Warsaw, etc.
