From the UK, the US, Canada or Australia there is not direct flight to Mongolia. You're likely to fly through Moscow, Berlin, Seoul, Tokyo or Beijing. It's usually cheaper to book a Miat ticket from Mongolia than from you own country.

You can also take only one way ticket and do the other way through the Transsibérian railways.
